简介：BornSharifLaceyinWestPhiladelphia,ReeftheLostCauzecameupinhiphopasalethalbattlerapMC.Hedefeatedopponentsinalltypesofvenues,fromschoolgroundstogrimybackalleystoprofessionalcompetitions.In2000,despiteobtainingascholarship,hequitfilmschoolafteronlythefirstyeartoinvolvehimselfmoreinhiphopmusic.Hisfirsttwoalbums,TheHighLife(2002)andInvisibleEmpire(2003),werereleasedlocallyandputhisnameonthemapforPhiladelphia'sundergroundrapscene.Nonetheless,itwastheregionalandnationalbattlerapcompetitionsthatgavehiscareerarealboost.HefinallylandedanalbumdealjointlywithEasternConferenceandGoodHands,theformerownedbyNewYorkundergroundMC/DJpairtheHigh&Mighty.ThemorewellroundedeffortFeastorFaminearrivedin2005,boastingtheDJMightyMiproduced"FairOne,"whichalsofeaturedBootCampClik'stopMCSeanPrice,asthelead12"single.Intheyearsthatfollowedhisthirdalbum,afewlocalmixtapeswerereleased,butthePhiladelphiaMChadsuccessindoingseveralcollaborationsandfeatures.HewasinvitedintothePhiladelphiacrewJuJuMob,whoreleasedtheir2005albumBlackCandlesonEasternConference,aswellastheundergroundsupercollectiveArmyofthePharaohs,ledbyJediMindTricksfrontmanVinniePaz,in2006.
