简介：Defconwasformedinthesummerof1987inAkron,Ohio.MarkMatthews,TonyArtinoandNickLeParhadpreviouslyplayedtogetherinvariousCleveland/Akronbasedcoverbandsthroughoutthemideighties.Fromit'sconception,DefconforgedaheadintheCleveland/Akronmusicsceneplayingtheareasmostprestigiousvenuestostandingroomonlyaudiences.FreddieSalemofTheOutlaws,agreatfriendtotheband,helpedDefconsecureaproductiondealwhichultimatelymovedthegrouptoChicago,Illinoisinthefallof1988.WhileinChicago,Defconhadtheopportunitytorecordalongsideofsomegreatmusicians/producersincludingRudySarzoofWhitesnakeandFrankieSullivanofSurvivor.Thegroupwouldgoontobefeaturedinmanynewsarticlesandinternationalmagazinepublicationscreatingpocketsoffansthroughouttheworld.AfterseveralcloserecorddealsandcountlessperformancesacrosstheUnitedStates,thegroupeventuallymovedbackhometoAkroninthespringof1991wheretheycontinuedtoperformuntiltheydisbandedlaterthatyear.AlthoughDefconhashadsomeextremelytalentedfourthmembermusiciansalongtheirjourney,theoriginalpowertriohasalwaysbeentheheartandsouloftheband.Beonthelookoutforsomenewmaterialandapossiblereunioninthenearfuture.
