ProfessorattheHochschulefürMusikinBerlinandInternationalChairattheRoyalAcademyofMusicinLondon199596,Mr.GiurannaisnowVisitingProfessorofviolaattheUniversityofLimerick.HehasgivenmasterclassesthroughouttheworldandwasafrequentguestattheMarlboroFestivalinVermont.From1983to1992BrunoGiurannawasArtisticDirectorofthePadovaChamberOrchestraandoftheInternationalChamberMusicFestivalinAsolo,Italy,wherehenowlives.HewaspresidentoftheJuryoftheBrunoGiurannaInternationalViolaCompetÌtioninBrazil.HisextensivediscographyincludesMozart’sSinfoniaCòncertantewithHenrykSzeryng,thecompleteVivaldiConcertiforviolad’amoreandtheMozartPianoQuartetswiththeBeauxArtsTrioforPhilipsRecords.
In1990Mr.Giuranna’srecordingoftheBeethovenStringTrioswithAnneSophieMutterandMstislavRostropovichforDeutscheGrammophonwasnominatedforaGrammyAwardandhisrecordingoftheBoccheriniConcertiwonthecovetedGrandPrixduDisquefromtheprestigiousAcademieCharlesCrosofParis.BrunoGiurannawastheartisticdirectoroftheOrchestradaCameradiPadova"from1983till1992andin1998hestartedanintensivecooperationwiththe"OrchestradeiPomeriggiMusicali"inMilan.
