简介：Comprisedofseveralgenerationsofpopmindedhitmakers,TintedWindowscombineasupergrouppedigreewithanappreciationforsugary,unapologeticpowerpop.SingerTaylorHansonandbassistAdamSchlesingerinitiallycrossedpathsinthemid'90s,duringHanson'sheydayasateenheartthrobandSchlesinger'searlydevelopmentwithFountainsofWayne.Althoughthetwoexpressedinterestinacollaborativeproject,eachhadmorepressingresponsibilitiestoattendto,includingSchlesinger'smanagementofhisownlabel(ScratchieRecords,coownedwithlongtimefriendJamesIha).Astheyearsprogressed,IhalefttheSmashingPumpkins'lineupbutcontinuedtoworkalongsideSchlesinger,evenlendinghisguitarskillstoFountainsofWayne's2003effort,WelcomeInterstateManagers. Severalyearslater,SchlesingerandHansondecidedtofinallylaunchtheirlonggestatingcollaboration,andIhahappilyclimbedabroadastheband'sguitarist.Thetriothensoughtoutadrummer,hopingtofindsomeonewhoplayedintheveinofCheapTrick'sBunE.Carlos.TheyeventuallyextendedtheinvitationtoCarloshimself,whoenjoyedtheband'sdemomaterialanddecampedtoNewYorktoworkalongsidetheband.TintedWindowssignedwithSCurveRecords,FountainsofWayne'sformerlabel,andreleasedtheirdebutalbuminspring2009.
